Kristen is an expert at creating personalized financial plans with clear solutions to help you reach your goals.

Kristen believes that the key to making change happen in your life is to:

    1. Know where you are now and what you want for the future (the personal knowledge),
    2. Create a practical plan to help you get there (the technical knowledge), and finally, the most difficult part,
    3. Do the work (the human component).

Kristen guides clients along their own personal journey from KNOWING to DOING with insight, compassion, and expertise.

    Are you ready to begin?

    Kristen’s Story

Being the primary income earner for a family of four in Calgary, then San Francisco, and finally Vancouver was… stressful. A divorce along the way didn’t help.

My primary financial goal has always been financial freedom. I want to be able to choose my career and employer to suit my needs, interests, and health. I don’t want to be tied to a paycheque. Perhaps this sound familiar to you, as well.

Going from the “messy” 30’s with two young children and no savings to financial freedom at age 46 was hard work, but I did it. I had previously thought that my only option would be to work at a job that I didn’t love until 65. After completing the CFP designation and taking control of my finances, I understood that I could create other options for myself and change my life for the better.

Financial planning is my second career. I first worked for 25 years as an engineer and business consultant, helping companies achieve their goals. But I found working towards a company’s objectives was less fulfilling and meaningful than I had hoped. As I reached my personal goal of financial independence, I took the opportunity to teach a few college level courses. I was happier and healthier, and I developed a love for explaining new ideas with clarity and passion.

So why do I work now? That’s simple – I enjoy it! I am passionate about helping others reach their goals. Nothing is as freeing as having one’s own money, and I love helping my clients achieve that freedom for themselves, one step at a time.
